Introduction

As part of the Adult Literacy for Life (ALL) strategy, a Regional Literacy Coordinator was appointed to City of Dublin ETB to create an outreach, partnership-based role within the city, to develop greater links with local schools, community groups, initiatives and resource centres. This partnership is known as the Regional Literacy Coalition. The Coalition is made up of representatives from over 16 organisations and it is part of a 10 year government strategy to address literacy gaps across Ireland. The Regional Literacy Coordinator for City of Dublin is Andrew Connolly (andrew.connolly@aes.cdetb.ie) and the Chair of the Coalition is Enda Leaney, from Dublin City Libraries.
